We have been using Crystal Reports as our report engine for 5 years and we
aren't happy with this even though they've fixed a lot since version 7.
We think of switching to something else but because the way how we use
reports is rather complex we need the report engine to be very flexible and
sophisticated. We keep reports and their subreports information in the

Dear Valery!
  Thank you for good question.
I think, this set of functions is given now by all leaders from the
  three specified by you.
Otherwise they would not be among leaders. :)

Thanks for your interest in ReportBuilder. The goal and philosophy of the
product is to embrace the architecture and spirit of Delphi by providing
both a RAD reporting tool and an extensible reporting class library. This is
provides you with flexibility and extensibility that is not possible using
  Crystal Reports.

Thank you very much for detailed answers, I appreciate it.
I'll discuss all this with team, try evaluations (I guess I'll have to try
all of them) and make a decision.

This is important for me, too. Could someone tell me if it's possible to
export from a generated report saved to a file or a stream, to other
formats, using both the exports that ships with the product and Gnostice
  eDocEngine?

ReportBuilder provides the option to generate reports to archive files
(.raf) and then preview/print/export the pages to any format. You can also
generate either the live report or the archived report to multiple formats
at the same time. For example, you could print to the printer, generate a
..pdf and an archive (.raf) at the same time.

Rave creates a NDR-file or -stream and this can you store and, of course,
render to another format, preview or print out every time and
everywhere. And eDocEngine use the NDR-format for rendering in all the
    formats.

FYI: When using a '+' or '-', be sure to precede it with a space unless it is the first character. Example: '+delphi -database', not '+delphi-database' (without quotes).
