Simple test apps running on iOS 7 with XE5 and XE5 upd1 don't work in
full screen mode, the status bar is still visible and the form is
displayed underneath it.
Anyone else experienced this issue?

Can you post a test app? I assume you're setting the BorderStyle to bsNone?

I can't get that to work either. According to the numerous stackoverflow questions adding "UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance" to info.plist should do the trick on iOS 7, but no luck yet.

I don't need to add that in order to make it work. Can someone either post a test project or give detailed steps,
    please?

I've emailed it to you (it is just a form with controls - nothing
    special).
    It works fine in the simulator, just not on my iPhone 5.

I have the same problem.
    With XE5 Update 2.
    To reproduce it follow these steps:
    1.- File->New->Firemonkey mobile application - Delphi
    2.- Edit main form property BorderStyle and change it to bsNone.
